The role
As a Project Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of our Warships business unit, supporting the smooth running of critical defence projects. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where your organisational skills will directly contribute to national security and operational excellence. You’ll be the key interface between project components, ensuring continuity, compliance and collaboration across teams.
Day-to-day, you’ll oversee secure document management, coordinate meetings and travel logistics and ensure smooth access and communication across project teams.
- Managing confidential document control and ensuring compliance with project processes
- Compiling meeting packs and distributing minutes
- Coordinating meeting room diaries and acting as the point of contact
- Arranging and booking travel for project stakeholders
- Holding and distributing ship passes for secure access
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Project Administrator
- Skilled in document control and compliance within project environments
- Proven administrative experience in fast-paced, high-pressure settings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Highly organised with excellent time management and communication skills
- Motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and flexibly
Qualifications for the Project Administrator
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or working towards)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
