The role

As a Production Supervisor - Mechanical Systems, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a key role in delivering one of the UK’s most high‑profile defence programmes. You’ll lead and motivate teams responsible for mechanical system installation and integration on complex marine platforms - work that directly supports national security and the Royal Navy’s operational capability.

Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:

  • Lead and empower production teams to deliver mechanical installation work safely and efficiently.
  • Manage daily workloads to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Maintain safe working practices and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Set daily production targets and support your teams to meet them.
  • Take ownership of activity levels and resource planning across your area.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday and is based on site at Rosyth.

Essential experience of the Production Supervisor - Mechanical Systems

  • Time‑served background with recent, relevant experience in a mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of pumps, valves, pipework, shaft lines, engines, rudders and stabilisers.
  • Ability to read and interpret installation drawings, including piping schematics.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications.
  • Experience using IFS for bookings and progress updates (advantageous).

Qualifications for the Production Supervisor - Mechanical Systems

  • Relevant mechanical discipline training or apprenticeship.
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification is preferred

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
