The Role
As a Production Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of our vehicle engineering operations, leading a skilled team to deliver high-quality production outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions and actions directly impact the safety, efficiency, and quality of our output. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of defence and engineering, while growing your own career in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
• Leading and motivating a team of technicians, fitters, and fabricator welders to meet production targets.
• Supervising health, safety, and environmental standards across your area of responsibility.
• Delivering weekly toolbox talks and managing staff development, training, and performance.
• Collaborating with procurement and engineering teams to improve quality and efficiency.
• Managing operational tasks including timesheets, overtime, absenteeism, and return-to-work processes.
The role is based onsite at Walsall, and the set working times are Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 4:00pm and Friday, 7:00am – 12:00pm, totalling 39 hours per week.
Essential experience of the Production Supervisor:
• Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced automotive or production environment.
• Background in production line operations.
• Strong track record of managing and motivating teams.
Qualifications for the Production Supervisor:
We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you. However, relevant certifications in production management, engineering, or automotive disciplines would be advantageous.
