The role
As a Production Planner – Electrical, you’ll be at the heart of our submarine projects, supporting both planning and execution phases. This is a critical role that ensures packages of work are correctly scoped, enabled and delivered on time - making a real impact on national defence and your career development.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for interpreting customer requirements, aligning work with project structures, managing risks and schedules and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Analysing and interpreting work specifications to ensure full understanding of customer requirements
- Linking all elements of work to the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and tracking progress throughout the project lifecycle
- Processing emergent and additional work in line with project schedules
- Managing enablement risks and driving progressive closeout to maintain project efficiency
- Building strong relationships with clients and resolving technical or conflicting project requirements
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based at is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Production Planner – Electrical
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across teams
- Awareness of project management tools and their application across the lifecycle
- Experience with the Project Delivery Framework and project planning principles
- Familiarity with estimating, production systems and SAP
- Strong understanding of planning and lifecycle processes
Qualifications for the Production Planner – Electrical
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering, Project or Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not essential with relevant experience)
- APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) – desirable
