Our client, a respected name in the durable goods sector with a global footprint, is seeking a Procurement Manager to take full ownership of its procurement function. This is an opportunity to consolidate, strategise, and transform how procurement operates across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver a clear procurement strategy, focusing on cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
- Lead, motivate and upskill the procurement function, supporting their continued development
- Consolidate the supplier base and manage key commercial relationships. Machining and plastic mouldings are major areas of spend, alongside wider products and services.
- Partnering with business areas including Planning, Production, Engineering and Design teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality goods and services.
- Introduce supplier performance metrics and a compliance framework aligned with internal and external standards.
- Collaborate with global suppliers and engage with international procurement teams to leverage synergies across the wider business.
About You:
- CIPS-qualified, with a strong grasp of procurement best practice and contract law.
- Ability to lead and develop procurement teams.
- Experienced within the durable goods or wider manufacturing sectors. Including experience in sourcing machining and plastic mouldings.
- A confident negotiator, influencer, and stakeholder management skills
- Able to drive change and continuous improvement through process and people.
