The role
As a Photographer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to represent RAF Halton’s Media Section with professionalism and creativity.
Day-to-day, you will include capturing key moments such as Recruit Training Squadron group photographs, documenting senior personnel events—including recruit graduation ceremonies—and covering training exercises at locations like Bramley and Crickhowell.
- Complete daily tasks assigned by the supervisor and manage allocated resources.
- Carry out photographic and video assignments in line with SOR Section 8 and the Parenting Statement.
- Advise the Media and Support Services Manager on relevant matters.
- Review and approve all incoming tasks for the Photographic Section per SOR guidelines.
- Maintain photographic KPIs, monitoring data, and required statistics for reporting.
This role is full time working 39 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Halton, Buckinghamshire.
Essential experience of the Photographer:
- Adhere to AP112P-0009-1: Manual of Photographic Practices and Procedures.
- Maintain photographic KPIs, monitoring data, and required statistics.
- Advise customers on Section 8 of the SOR.
- Understand and apply relevant Section TORs.
- Oversee timesheet management for the Photographic Section.
Qualifications for the Photographer:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
