The role

As a Mobile Support Services Team Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll act as the key link between frontline teams and senior management, ensuring information flows smoothly, performance is accurately reported, and continuous improvement is embedded across operations. This role places you at the heart of a mission that directly contributes to national security—while also giving you space to grow, develop your leadership capability and strengthen your career in defence, aerospace and engineering.

Day‑to‑day you’ll be:

  • Managing and coordinating mobile support services to ensure safe, efficient and compliant delivery.
  • Supporting supervisors by taking ownership of complex administrative, reporting and compliance tasks.
  • Analysing and reporting high‑level operational data to inform decision‑making.
  • Driving continuous improvement through lean management techniques and process optimisation.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to maintain high standards across quality, safety and production.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Catterick

Essential experience of the Mobile Support Services Team Manager:

  • Training or experience in lean management and continuous improvement.
  • Strong capability with MS Office applications, Outlook, SharePoint and ERP systems.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Clarity).
  • Ability to manage operational workloads and support multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in a compliance‑focused or operational support environment.

Qualifications for the Mobile Support Services Team Manager:

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification (e.g., Apprenticeship, NVQ, GCSE) or equivalent workplace experience

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
