The role

As a Licenced B1.3 Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our aviation operations, supporting the maintenance and modification of rotary aircraft including EC135 and H145 models. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly contribute to the safety and performance of aircraft used in critical missions across the UK.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Inspecting systems and requesting parts, materials and equipment to support planned and emergent maintenance activities
  • Collaborating with Supervisors and Certifying Staff to ensure all tasks meet regulatory and procedural standards
  • Supporting Line Maintenance for aircraft at Staverton, liaising with our Training School and HQ Operations
  • Maintaining hangars and equipment to ensure a professional and compliant environment
  • Promoting lean and safety cultures across all areas of work

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Staverton (Gloucestershire airport).

Essential experience of the Licenced B1.3 Engineer:

  • Strong background in base maintenance and modification of rotary aircraft
  • In-depth technical knowledge of airframe and engine systems
  • Solid understanding of CAA regulations and aircraft maintenance requirements
  • Experience applying Safety Management Systems and Human Factors principles

Qualifications for the Licenced B1.3 Engineer:

  • EASA/CAA Part-66 B1.3 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML), ideally with EC135 and/or BK117D2 type ratings
  • Category C AML
  • Category B2 AML is desirable but not required

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
