The role

As an Infrastructure Operations Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our Infrastructure Operations Department, supporting a team of over 240 professionals who help maintain and deliver critical defence infrastructure. This is a role where your attention to detail and organisational skills will directly contribute to national security and operational excellence

Day-to-day you’ll be:

  • Supporting managers and teams with administrative tasks across the department
  • Processing and managing nuclear documentation with precision and care
  • Coordinating travel arrangements and managing office supplies
  • Using business applications and reporting tools to support operations
  • Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all documentation and communications

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:15 – 16:45 and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Infrastructure Operations Administrator

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with business systems such as IFS, SAP, BMS, FCM, or Coupa (desirable but not essential)

Qualifications for the Infrastructure Operations Administrator

  • National 5 in English and Maths or Level 3 equivalent
  • Additional IT or administration qualifications are advantageous

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
