The role

As a HSE Advisor, you'll be a trusted safety professional supporting the delivery of critical nuclear projects and operational activities.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Provide expert health, safety and environmental advice across projects and operational activities
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections and investigations to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support compliance with legislation, industry standards and company procedures
  • Analyse safety performance data, identifying trends and implementing improvement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with project teams, customers and external stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and based inCumbria. Flexible working arrangements are available with hybrid working options available.

Essential experience of the HSE Advisor:

  • Demonstrable experience working within a health, safety and environmental role
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations, standards and best practice
  • Experience carrying out risk assessments, incident investigations and safety performance improvement activities
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends and develop effective improvement plans
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and promoting a proactive safety culture

Qualifications for the HSE Advisor:

  • Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Membership of a recognised professional body such as the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Security Clearance
