The role
As a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring our operations are safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible. This is a role where your expertise will directly protect people, the public, and the environment, while supporting projects critical to national security.
Day-to-day, you will
- Ensure Cavendish operates in a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible manner.
- Manage risks across diverse operational areas and projects.
- Implement effective policies and procedures to support compliance.
- Deliver training and conduct investigations to enhance awareness and accountability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across HSE functions.
This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week. You will be based at Glasgow or Faslane, with travel between Glasgow, Faslane, and Rosyth. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience of the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor:
- Previous experience as an HSE Advisor within a highly regulated environment.
- Strong audit and inspection experience.
- Proven ability to deliver training effectively.
- Understanding of construction or similar operational environments and CDM Regulations.
Qualifications for the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor:
- NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, or NVQ equivalent.
- Membership of a technical community (e.g., IOSH).
Security Clearance
