Help keep a key RAF site running safely, smoothly and efficiently

As a General Labourer, you’ll be part of the on‑site support team providing a wide range of labouring, cleaning and logistical activities across RAF Henlow. Your work will contribute to the smooth running of the station by helping maintain its appearance, supporting station functions and ensuring equipment, stores and facilities are handled safely and efficiently.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Carrying out general labouring duties including cleaning, maintenance and litter collection across station areas
- Helping maintain the appearance and condition of the site
- Collecting and handling items for disposal or recycling
- Moving and transporting stores, furniture and office equipment
- Setting up and dismantling equipment for functions (e.g., tents, marquees, seating)
- Supporting winter maintenance such as gritting and salting pathways.
This role is full time working 39 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Henlow, Bedfordshire. You will work Monday to Friday, with flexible start times between 06:30 and 08:00.
Essential experience of the General Labourer:
- Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working to defined procedures and guidelines
- Understanding of Health & Safety principles
- Manual handling capability
- Full UK driving licence.
