As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting informed decision-making across our Corporate Services, partnering closely with leaders in IT, Cyber and Engineering to deliver accurate budgeting and forecasting. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial insights that underpin essential operations across defence, aerospace and engineering sectors that keep the nation protected and moving.
You’ll build strong relationships, influence cost owners, and bring clarity to complex financial information. This role offers excellent exposure across the organisation and a platform to grow your career in a dynamic, purpose-led environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
- Prepare budgets and forecasts while engaging with key stakeholders across the business.
- Maintain a rolling forecast that supports forward planning and strategic insight.
- Review monthly actuals with cost centre owners to ensure accuracy and challenge variances.
- Build trusted working relationships through effective business partnering.
- Manage intercompany assignee charges to ensure financial control.

Essential experience of the Financial Planning Analyst
- Qualified or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
- Strong financial analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare and present complex financial information clearly.
- Confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
