The Role

As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll be at the heart of our transformation journey within the Design & Build business. This is a dynamic, business-facing role where your insights will directly influence project success and strategic decision-making. You’ll collaborate with project managers and senior stakeholders, helping to drive financial performance and continuous improvement across our Mission Systems Effectors portfolio.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Partner with project managers to deliver accurate and insightful financial analysis.
  • Produce quarterly forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for key contracts.
  • Present financial risks and opportunities, enabling proactive decision-making.
  • Support quarterly contract reviews with senior leadership.
  • Manage invoicing and cash forecasting in line with company procedures.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days onsite and days working from home.

Essential Experience of the Finance Business Partner

  • Demonstrates commercial awareness in a business-facing finance role.
  • Experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with project accounting principles.
  • Exposure to ERP systems in large organisations.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.

Qualifications for the Finance Business Partner

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).

The successful candidate must be a UK or US national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
