An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the operations team in our head office in London. The role will be dynamic, challenging and shift-based in order to meet the 24-hour demands of our client group.

Job Details:

Job Title: Emergency Response Coordinator

Location: Farringdon, London Department: Operations

Reports To: Director, Operations

Salary: £30,000 and an annual pay review (£2.5k increase after 12 months)

Benefits: 24-Days Annual Leave, Pension and Private Healthcare.

Hours of work: 6 on 6 off shift-based roster 0800-2000hrs (3 days) 2000-0800hrs (3 nights)

As an Emergency Response Coordinator, your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

Operational Serve as a team member at the NGS GSOC, providing 24-hour support to our global clients.

Operational command and control of emergency medical, political, natural disasters, and security issues.

Ability to monitor global events, alerting and assisting clients in a proactive and reactive manner.

Operational planning and direct support to the Ops managers. Service client emergency hotlines and triage requests as required.

Act as the dedicated point of contact for clients when on shift.

Contribute to the NGS emergency management team (EMT) in the event of a client crisis or major response incident.

Provide support and escalation options to the NGS Travel Risk Operations team.

Administrative

Maintain accurate records relating to all client objectives and requirements on NGS’s internal systems.

Case management and document control.

Manage and control third-party providers in relation to tasks.

Monitor, in collaboration with NGS Accounts, all client-associated invoices and expenses.

Establish, grow and maintain networks and service providers.

Distribute knowledge to the wider NGS Operations team regarding service provider capability.

Responsible for collating information to produce case studies.

Desirable

Have worked and have experience working within an operations centre.

Medical qualifications, such as HCPC.

A second language, ideally French, German, Spanish, Mandarin or Arabic (or willing to study and improve competence).

An extremely focused, diligent and positive individual with strong interpersonal skills. Proven ability to communicate and present work in a professional and effective manner. Attention to detail is crucial with periods of delivering independent work without immediate supervision. Being proactive and able to recognise critical operational priorities. Offering bespoke but practical solutions to clients will be key to their renewal and continued relationship.

NGS operates in a dynamic and fast-moving global environment. The new Emergency Response Coordinator will be a team player, comfortable with response planning and working irregular hours. The position holder will need the confidence to speak at a senior client level and the diligence to direct personnel when required.
