Support frontline aviation operations in a hands‑on, safety‑critical role

Working within our Aviation business, you’ll be part of a small but highly effective Transport Services team. This is an operational role where high standards matter, supporting aircraft, personnel, and equipment to ensure operations run safely and on time.
As a Driver and Ground Handler, you’ll carry out a varied range of airside and transport duties. From aircraft ground handling to operating specialist vehicles and equipment, you’ll play a key role in day‑to‑day aviation activity on site.
Day-to-day, you will be:
- Carrying out aircraft see‑in and see‑off procedures on the airfield
- Driving and operating a range of general and specialist vehicles
- Refuelling aircraft and undertaking oil replenishment tasks
- Completing daily checks and minor scheduled maintenance on Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
- Supporting the safe movement of personnel, equipment, and vehicles across the site.
This is a full‑time, onsite role, working 40 hours per week, typically 08:00 – 17:00.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
Essential experience of the Driver and Ground Handler:
- Experience in a driving, handling, or operational support role
- Awareness of safe working practices in a regulated or safety‑critical environment
- Ability to work reliably as part of a small, operational team.
Qualifications for the Driver and Ground Handler:
- Full UK Category B and C driving licence
- Ability to meet CP2/CP3 colour vision standards.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (EDBS) / Standard (BPSS) / Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
