This is a flexible, zero-hours opportunity supporting critical aviation and defence activity. It’s ideal for someone who values variety, flexibility, and meaningful work, while being trusted to represent Babcock professionally when working with service personnel and key stakeholders.
As a Driver, you’ll play a key role in ensuring essential transport and logistics tasks are completed safely, reliably, and on time. Your work will directly support service personnel and operational activity, helping relieve pressure on core teams and enabling contracted services to be delivered effectively.
Day-to-day, you will be required to:
- Transport service personnel to and from medical appointments and operational locations
- Collect and deliver aircraft parts to sites across the UK
- Complete airport drop-offs and pick-ups, including early-morning returns
- Stay overnight when required to support operational schedules
- Represent Babcock professionally when engaging with customers and stakeholders
This is an onsite role based at RAF Valley, with flexible, ad‑hoc working hours across any 7‑day period. All journeys start and finish at the Valley site, although travel and occasional overnight stays may be required (with accommodation and expenses covered by Babcock).
Essential experience of the Driver:
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with stakeholders
- Confidence working flexibly and responding to ad‑hoc tasking requirements.
Qualifications for the Driver:
Full Category B driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points.)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
