The Role
As a Delivery Operations Manager, you’ll be at the heart of planning and executing high-level military training exercises that shape the future of defence readiness. This is a senior leadership role where your coordination and operational expertise will directly impact national defence capabilities, customer satisfaction, and Babcock’s reputation for excellence in training delivery.

Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
• Lead the planning and coordination of large-scale military training events across UK and European locations
• Refine and manage realistic operational environments and scenarios to support Corps, Divisional, and Brigade-level exercises
• Oversee simulation setup and ensure all exercise components align with design requirements
• Manage specialist contributors and ensure scenario content meets quality and coherence standards
• Act as the principal on-site manager during live exercises, including extended hours and occasional shift work

The role is based onsite at Warminster, and the set working times are 37 hours per week. You’ll occasionally be required to work extended hours during training exercises, including weekends (up to approximately three periods per year).

Essential experience of the Delivery Operations Manager:
• Worked in a collective training environment
• Experience in harnessing and optimising information technology to enhance productivity
• Experience of creating and managing action plans
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages
• Comprehensive understanding of geopolitical issues

Qualifications for the Delivery Operations Manager:
• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (inclusive of Maths & English)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Military Staff Training

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
