
Customer Service Agent
We're looking for ex-servicemen and women and/or their spouses for this remote role.
The Company Established for 25 years The company specialises in providing insurance to armed forces personnel and veterans. The company has a strong reputation for quality products and exceptional service to this unique customer base.
The Role
This is a home-based role, working in a remote team environment, providing customer service and sales of general insurance products to enquiring service personnel, veterans and their families. duties will include:
- Respond in a professional and timely manner to customer requests received via email and by phone diligently ensuring positive customer outcomes
- Proactive in Identifying and acting on sales opportunities during inbound and outbound calls
- Develop a strong collaborative relationship with customer service team colleagues to ensure individual and team deadlines are met
- Build and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Marketing and Finance
- Liaise with insurance underwriter claims handlers to ensure good customer outcomes as required
- Maintain accurate records via the company computer database and shared records
- Attend periodic nationally held company meetings/conferences etc. as required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Confident and positive manner, reliable, flexible and adaptable
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Previous insurance sales experience an advantage
- Experience of working in a regulated environment preferred
- Knowledge of general insurance products would be advantageous
- Experience and knowledge of the military an advantage but not essential
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- To be able to work well within a small team but also be able to use your own initiative and work remotely
Working Hours
Office hours are currently 9.00 am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
