The Role
As a Commercial Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will have the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant projects such as the Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C power stations, while also supporting innovative alternative nuclear technologies including Small Modular Reactors (SMR) and Advanced Modular Reactors (AMR), working closely with key suppliers.
Day-to-day you'll
- Provide commercial support to the clean energy business across a range of projects
- Manage commercial and contractual aspects with customers and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with internal corporate governance and approval processes
- Support the development and delivery of commercially robust solutions
- Contribute to driving commercial performance across multiple contracts
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, with occasional travel to Bristol or Warrington (Cheshire), alongside home working arrangements.
Essential Experience of the Commercial Specialist:
- Deliver robust commercial management across contracts and bids, including large-scale projects
- Provide specialist commercial input into bids, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Make informed decisions within delegated authority and manage workload effectively
- Apply an innovative and flexible approach, with working knowledge of NEC contracts highly desirable
Qualifications for the Commercial Specialist:
- Preferably educated to degree level, ideally a Law degree (e.g. LLB, LLM) or similar qualification, or equivalent level of relevant experience
- Any relevant Commercial qualification (e.g. IAMCC, WCC) or similar qualification, or equivalent level of relevant experience
Security Clearance
