The role
As a Collective Training Solutions Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative training solutions for British and NATO defence forces. This is a strategic role that directly contributes to Babcock’s growth and reputation in defence training, helping secure new contracts and drive operational excellence across UK and international markets.
You’ll be part of our Land Defence business unit, collaborating with Future Business and Capability teams across the UK and Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact while advancing your career in a dynamic and meaningful sector.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
• Developing winning solutions to secure British, NATO and NATO member states’ collective training contracts
• Delivering innovative ways to support live and synthetic training solutions
• Establishing relationships with customers, industry partners, and wider Babcock teams
• Monitoring competitor activity and market trends
• Collaborating with internal teams across Europe and the UK
The role can be based anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel to Warminster and very occasional travel to Western Europe. The set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week.
Essential experience of the Collective Training Solutions Manager:
- Experience in British Army individual and collective live and synthetic training design and delivery
- Strong understanding of simulation systems used in defence training
- Will be an ICSC (L) graduate, have completed sub-unit command and at least one SO2 appointment
- Proven track record in bid and/or business case writing
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
Qualifications for the Collective Training Solutions Manager:
- Relevant qualifications in British Army training design and delivery
- Business Winning / Bid / Business Case writing credentials
- Must hold current Security Clearance
