The role

As a Business Support Administrator, you'll be responsible for maintaining learner records, managing documentation and supporting compliance activities across apprenticeship programmes. This is a varied and rewarding role where attention to detail, organisation and collaboration are key.

Day-to-day you'll be required to:

  • Maintain accurate learner records and administrative files, ensuring documentation is complete, up to date and audit ready.
  • Manage data entry, reporting and learner information using systems such as SharePoint and other business systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Department for Education and internal requirements, maintaining learner and funding documentation to required standards.
  • Respond to information requests and resolving administrative queries efficiently, escalating issues when required.
  • Support governance, compliance and performance activities while working closely with quality and delivery teams.

The role is based onsite at MoD Lyneham, and the set working times are Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pm, totalling 37 hours per week.

Essential experience of the Business Support Administrator:

  • Previous experience working within a business administration or administrative support role.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records, files and documentation.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.

Qualifications for the Business Support Administrator:

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, Grade 4-9, or equivalent.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths as an equivalent alternative.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
