The role
As an Aviation Safety and Compliance Officer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our aviation safety operations, supporting the management systems that underpin our commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a noble mission - ensuring the safety of aviation operations that protect communities and support national defence.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Supporting all elements of the Safety and Compliance Monitoring Management Systems across aviation activities
- Engaging with internal stakeholders to promote and develop a strong safety culture
- Conducting investigations and contributing to operational risk assessments
- Applying barrier control safety management methodologies such as BowTie
- Using safety-specific software to analyse and report on safety data
This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Gloucestershire Airport.
Essential experience of the Aviation Safety and Compliance Officer
- Experience within the aviation industry
- Familiarity with ARMS methodology for Operational Risk Assessments
- Knowledge of barrier control safety management (e.g. BowTie)
- Proven experience in conducting investigations
- Strong organisational, analytical, and report writing skills
Qualifications for the Aviation Safety and Compliance Officer
- ONC or equivalent engineering academic qualification
- Conversancy with safety-specific database software such as Synergi Life
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
