The role
As an Assistant Project Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of delivering critical submarine projects that support the Royal Navy and national defence. Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Support and govern project controls processes across submarine programmes
- Input and analyse data to support informed business decisions
- Produce and interpret management information for monthly reporting
- Communicate insights clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver training and coaching to enhance system usage and capability
This role is full-time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 07:15 to 16:45, and is initially based on-site at HMNB Clyde Faslane. Hybrid working arrangements may be available once established in the role.
Essential experience of the Assistant Project Controller
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with business applications such as SAP, Primavera, PEPS, MOBI, BMS, or Success Factors
- Understanding of project controls functions (e.g. risk, change management, estimating)
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
Qualifications for the Assistant Project Controller
- Strong Excel skills are essential
- Experience with SAP GUI is desirable but not essential
- Background in accounting or cost recovery would be advantageous
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
