Morson Talent is looking for Aircraft Painters to join a leading Aerospace MRO facility.

£26.29 PAYE £36.17 Umbrella

This is an excellent opportunity to bring your experience in aviation refinishing to a well-established and professional environment. You’ll be part of a skilled team working on both aircraft and aircraft components, applying specialist coatings to exacting industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply aviation coatings to aircraft and components
  • Chemically strip aircraft and component surfaces
  • Apply primers, topcoats, and specialist finishes
  • Mask and demask surfaces in preparation for coating
  • Work in confined spaces as required by the task
  • Work at height using platforms or stands
  • Interpret and work to aviation drawings and data manuals
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures and quality standards
  • Operate a variety of paint application equipment
  • Perform surface preparation, sanding, and cleaning
  • Maintain accurate job records and documentation
  • Use personal protective equipment appropriately
  • Collaborate with inspection teams to ensure compliance
  • Support turnaround times and delivery schedules
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of paint processes

Ideal Qualifications and Experience:

  • Recognised apprenticeship (e.g. RAF, REME, Aerospace MRO)
  • City & Guilds or equivalent in Surface Finishing or related trade
  • OEM/Manufacturer training certificates (Desirable)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an MRO or aircraft paint facility
  • Good understanding of aircraft materials and corrosion control
  • Familiar with EASA/CAA or military standards (Desirable)
