This role involves the preparation, refinishing, and painting of aircraft and aircraft components to strict aviation standards. You’ll be working as part of a dedicated coatings team, applying high-spec finishes and working from approved data manuals and technical drawings.

Rates: £26.29 PAYE / £36.17 Umbrella
Schedule: 554 Shift
Key Responsibilities:
Apply aviation coatings to aircraft and aircraft components
Chemically strip surfaces as part of the preparation process
Apply specialist finishes including primers and topcoats
Mask and demask components to protect during processing
Work at height and in confined spaces where required
Interpret and work from technical drawings and data manuals
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards
Operate spray guns and surface preparation equipment
Ensure all work meets quality and compliance requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Recognised apprenticeship (e.g. RAF, Aerospace MRO)
City & Guilds in Surface Finishing or related trade
Manufacturer/OEM training certificates (desirable)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an MRO or specialist paint facility
Knowledge of aircraft materials, coatings, and corrosion control
