The role
As an Aircraft Handler, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be reporting to the Site Operations Manager via an Inspector, the Aircraft Handler will perform aircraft ground handling and movement, support flight line operations including Check A maintenance, and carry out cleaning and general duties to meet customer expectations and LAFT2 contractual requirements.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Assist with the safe and efficient ground movement of aircraft
- Participate in flight line operations, including aircraft preparation for daily flying, “see-in” and “see-off” procedures, and fuel and oil replenishment
- Once authorised, perform Check A maintenance on company-owned aircraft
- Conduct pre-use inspections and scheduled maintenance of Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
- Accurately complete all required documentation in line with current legislation and company procedures.
This role is full time working 40 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Wittering, near Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
Essential experience of the Aircraft Handler:
- Demonstrated experience in aircraft handling within military or civilian EASA Part 145 environments
- Successfully completed Grob 115E Handling Course and Check A Maintenance Course
- Well-versed in interpreting and applying military documentation and procedures.
Qualifications for the Aircraft Handler:
Full, clean UK driving licence.
