As an Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting operational teams that deliver vital engineering and defence programmes. Working within our Marine business, you'll help maintain the accuracy of essential business systems, records, and reporting that enable teams to operate efficiently and safely. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your administration, data management, and stakeholder engagement skills while contributing to work that supports the UK’s defence capability.
This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment where attention to detail, organisation, and initiative are highly valued. You'll work closely with colleagues across different levels of the business, helping to deliver high-quality administrative support and reliable management information.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Updating and maintaining departmental databases, including engineering and operational records.
- Producing reports, metrics, spreadsheets, and management information using Microsoft Office applications.
- Standardising and cleansing data to ensure records remain accurate and compliant.
- Supporting booking, reconciliation, ticket raising, and administrative processes across the department.
- Collaborating with operational teams and stakeholders to provide responsive administrative support.
This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract based at Rosyth. Hours are 36 per week, Monday to Thursday with a half day on Friday. Hybrid working patterns are available, with a minimum of three days onsite each week.
Essential experience of the Administrator:
- Recent experience in an administration, office support, data management, or business support role.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience working with databases, record management systems, or business systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and maintain accurate information.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications for the Administrator:
- Recent and relevant experience in a similar administrative role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with databases and data management systems.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
