The role

As a Vehicle Technician Trainer, you’ll be part of a highly skilled team delivering world-class training to Army personnel. This is more than just a teaching role — it’s your opportunity to shape the future of military engineering by sharing your technical expertise and passion for vehicles with the next generation of technicians.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve training delivery and outcomes.

You'll be working full-time, Monday to Friday (37 hours per week), based on site at MOD Lyneham, approximately 7 miles (11 km) north-east of Chippenham and 10 miles (16 km) south-west of Swindon.

Essential experience of the Vehicle Technician Trainer:

  • Confident communicator with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
  • IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Enthusiastic and articulate, with a proactive approach to learning and teaching.

Qualifications for the Vehicle Technician Trainer:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds Part 3, Apprenticeship, or military equivalent such as Class 1 REME Vehicle Mechanic).
