The role

As a Transport Support Pool Co-ordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Join the Logistics Transport team within the Supply Chain business unit of Babcock’s Naval Nuclear Division. Operating across marine defence and commercial sectors, this role plays a vital part in ensuring the efficient movement of materials and equipment that underpin critical naval operations.

Day-to-day, you’ll be working in a customer facing role supporting the administration of Ministry of Defence (MOD) transport vehicles. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administer Ministry of Defence transport vehicles, including bookings, returns, and fuel card reconciliation
  • Schedule and coordinate inspections, MOTs, and servicing to maintain vehicle readiness
  • Manage defects, accidents, and liaise with garages to ensure timely repairs
  • Audit and manage vehicle usage records, escalating discrepancies or misuse
  • Deliver customer training and maintain digital records to support compliance

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard

Essential experience of the Transport Support Pool Co-ordinator

  • Audit administration experience or fleet management background
  • Exceptional attention to detail with ability to interrogate, verify, and audit paperwork for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Scheduling and coordination expertise
  • Customer-facing experience delivering professional support and resolving queries in high-paced environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications for the Transport Support Pool Co-ordinator

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or Customer Service
  • GCSEs/O Levels A-C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Full valid UK driving licence
