The role
As a Training Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As the first point of contact for training implementation, this role ensures smooth delivery of programmes and initiatives. You'll provide guidance, manage schedules, and support the wider business in maintaining efficient and effective training operations.
Day-to-day, you’ll Coordinate and schedule all training formats, maintain detailed training records, support audits, liaise with Line Managers to uphold training plans and budgets, and oversee delivery through the Central Training Support Team.
- Coordinate and schedule all training formats (Instructor-Led, Virtual, eLearning) to support proactive delivery.
- Maintain detailed records of training requests to support analysis and future planning.
- Assist with internal and external training audits as required.
- Liaise with Line Managers to ensure adherence to training plans, budget compliance, and action additional requests.
- Support and manage training provision through the Devonport Central Training Support and Administration Team.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Training Planner
- Clear, concise, and logical communicator—both written and verbal.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
- Confident and personable, able to engage across all levels.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experienced in regulated industry environments.
Qualifications for the Training Planner
- GCSE English, Maths, at Grade D or above or equivalent.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
