The Role
As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of delivering a high-profile international programme - the Weapon Handling System (WHS) for the Korean Navy. This is your chance to make a tangible impact on global defence and security, working on projects that protect lives and strengthen international partnerships. You’ll gain exposure to complex engineering solutions, develop your leadership skills, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives across multiple markets.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Managing end-to-end delivery of the WHS programme, ensuring milestones are achieved.
- Building strong relationships with Korean suppliers and customers.
- Acting as the key interface between Babcock International and Babcock Korea.
- Supporting business development opportunities in South Korea and beyond.
- Enabling global supply chain solutions for future export projects.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days onsite and 3 days working from home.
You will also be required to travel to Korea, once every 3-4 months as well as wider international travel as and when required.
Essential experience of the Project Manager
- Experience of managing international projects with a good understanding of different business cultures.
- Confident collaborator with experience working in partnership.
- Able to show drive and desire to make a daily positive impact.
- Used to working to tight deadlines, plans, and schedules.
- Someone who navigates change easily and continually seeks to learn and develop new skills.
Qualifications for the Project Manager
- PMQ or PPQ (or equivalent) desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
