The role

As a Production Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Join our senior operational management team and play a pivotal role in driving performance and safety on site. You’ll be responsible for strategically managing operational resources to deliver output in line with current plans and any evolving requirements. This role involves making key prioritisation decisions to optimise resource allocation and ensure targets are met efficiently and safely

Day-to-day, you’ll use your expertise and business critical indicators to make informed decisions that support the smooth running of the vehicle production line, ensuring client demand is consistently met. You'll also:

  • Ensuring outputs are delivered against plans provided and managing and prioritising resource allocation to meet delivery plan
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are followed including use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe working areas, near miss reporting and accident reporting
  • Ensuring management chain is notified of risks of meeting output plan as soon as is apparent
  • Managing their people using supporting processes/policies
  • Ensuring company processes are regularly reviewed and submit suggested amendments where appropriate

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Walsall.

Essential experience of the Production Manager:

  • Proven experience within automotive production
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Competent PC user (MS Office, MS Outlook, SharePoint)

Qualifications for the Production Manager:

  • Educated to Level 4 in National Qualification Framework (NQF) as a minimum (Higher apprenticeship, HNC, Level 4 NVQ) or equivalent workplace experience

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and NPPV security clearance for this role.
