The Role
As the Global Head of Product Quality, you’ll lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive product quality control and assurance framework across Babcock International Group. This is a pivotal role that ensures our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance—supporting our mission to deliver trusted solutions in defence, aerospace, and engineering.
You’ll collaborate across functions and geographies, influencing strategy and governance while driving continuous improvement. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of product quality in a global organisation and make a meaningful impact on national security and operational excellence.
This full-time, permanent role is based at any of our offices in the UK or Australia, with flexible working patterns available. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites may be required.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Collaborating with Business Quality and Procurement teams to develop end-to-end product quality control processes
- Supporting business areas to implement group-level product quality requirements
- Contributing to technical governance and assurance for product quality across projects
- Developing product quality risk registers and reporting insights to inform priorities
- Participating in technical assurance reviews and audits across the organisation
Essential experience of the Global Head of Product Quality:
- Extensive background in product quality functions
- Broad experience across commercial and defence projects
- Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and assurance practices
- Proven ability to communicate across time zones and with diverse stakeholders
Qualifications
- Chartered Professional Engineering credential with a recognised technical or engineering body in a relevant field.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
