The role

As a Generator / Diesel Engine Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Join Babcock at our Coulport site and become a key player in maintaining and improving critical infrastructure that supports national defence.

Day-to-day, As a Mechanical Specialist in our Generator Station, you’ll

  • Provide expert support for engine-related systems in Building 220.
  • Diagnose and solve mechanical and POL (Petrol, Oils & Lubricants) issues.
  • Support maintenance teams and projects with your specialist knowledge.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld.
  • Act as an Authorised Person for Mechanical Pressure Systems and POL.

This role is a 4 day working week, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Coulport, Faslane.

Essential experience of the Generator / Diesel Engine Specialist

  • You must have experience working on Diesel, Oil or Petrol Engines.
  • You will be experienced working on Generators.
