The role
As an Environmental Health and Safety Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be instrumental in shaping and delivering our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) culture across Mission Systems, helping ensure our people go home safe every day.
Day-to-day, you’ll
- Deliver engaging and effective training programmes including IOSH Managing and Working Safely, Manual Handling, Event Investigation, Spill Management, and Risk Assessment
- Undertake project work across business units, such as implementing new processes or researching specific business needs
- Provide practical EHS advice and support to managers and employees across a complex organisation.
- Develop and deliver innovative health and safety training media, including inductions, toolbox talks, and e-learning
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with legislation and ISO14001 & ISO45001 standards
This role is full time or part time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and3 days working from home.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Environmental Health and Safety Advisor
- Experience working in an EHS Advisor or similar role.
- Confident in delivering training sessions to varied audiences.
- Strong understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools.
Qualifications for the Environmental Health and Safety Advisor
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (minimum).
- Grad IOSH working towards CMIOSH (advantageous).
- Member of IOSH or a related professional body.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
