The role

As a Crew Leader, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for supervising section colleagues, conducting personal development reviews, and identifying training needs to help your team grow and succeed.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Identify and request necessary servicing items and spare parts to ensure operational readiness
  • Operate, maintain, and manoeuvre vehicles within your qualification scope, ensuring safety and efficiency
  • Provide on-site support to customers during equipment usage, ensuring smooth operation and timely assistance

This is a full-time role, working 39 hours per week, based on-site at Bovington—near Wareham in Dorset, in the South West of England.

Essential experience of the Crew Leader:

  • Proven experience using the Joint Asset Management and Engineering Solutions (JAMES) system, with a strong understanding of its functionality
  • Confident IT user, proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and database systems
  • Physically fit, with the ability to regularly perform manual handling tasks as part of daily operations

Qualifications of the Crew Leader:

  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Category C (LGV) driving licence, enabling operation of larger vehicles

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
