The role

As a Business Improvement Specialist – Lean and Agility, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of driving transformational change across our operations. This is a dynamic opportunity to lead and deliver impactful improvement initiatives that span the full lifecycle of our defence and engineering projects. You’ll apply Lean and Agile methodologies to accelerate delivery, embed a culture of continuous improvement, and make a real difference to our people, processes, and performance.

Day-to-day, you’ll required to:

  • Lead and deliver business improvement projects using Lean and Agile methodologies
  • Facilitate and coach teams through stand-ups, retrospectives, and visual management
  • Conduct workshops and process reviews to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions
  • Develop and maintain process documentation aligned with governance and compliance standards
  • Provide data-driven insights through dashboard reporting and performance analysis

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:15 – 16:45 and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Business Improvement Specialist – Lean and Agility

  • Strong working knowledge of Lean, Agile, and continuous improvement frameworks
  • Proven experience managing projects across all lifecycle stages
  • Awareness of GDPR, data governance, and IT security principles
  • Skilled in creating and presenting process documentation and improvement plans
  • Proficient in visual reporting and insight generation using tools like Power BI

Qualifications for the Business Improvement Specialist – Lean and Agility

  • HNC in a relevant Engineering or Business IT discipline (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering improvement initiatives within a relevant field

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
