Day-to-day, as a Bid Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving successful bid outcomes by orchestrating collaboration, precision, and strategic insight across the business. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering closely with the Business Development team, you’ll take ownership of managing customer procurement portals—ensuring seamless navigation, timely updates, and full compliance with bid opportunity requirements. This includes overseeing document control, customer interactions, clarification processes, and submission protocols to ensure nothing is missed.
  • You’ll be the central point of coordination across diverse teams—Commercial, Finance, Project Management, Security, HR, Business Solutions, Health & Safety, Supply Chain, and Engineering—ensuring every function contributes meaningfully to the bid. You’ll also support the development of robust technical, commercial, and financial solutions in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Managing multiple concurrent bids, you’ll lead the creation and execution of Bid Management Book Plans, including author assignments and response strategies. You’ll facilitate key meetings such as Kick-Offs, stakeholder reviews, customer engagements, and daily stand-ups, while producing clear and actionable bid management reports to keep progress on track.

This role is full time and provides hybrid working arrangements with a mix of working onsite and working from home.

Essential experience of the Bid Coordinator:

  • Proven Experience in Bid Coordination A solid track record of managing and supporting bids, with the ability to navigate complex documentation and stakeholder engagement with confidence and precision.
  • Prior experience coordinating bids particularly within a Prime Defence Contractor environment, is highly advantageous.
  • Understanding of Defence Procurement (Desirable) Familiarity with MOD procurement frameworks, commercial contracting mechanisms, and industry-specific compliance requirements will be beneficial.

Qualifications for the Bid Coordinator:

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, with a focus on analytical thinking, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Membership with the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), demonstrating a proactive approach to industry best practices and continuous learning.
  • APMP Certifications

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) Security Check and (SC) security clearance for this role.
